2024 "Misted Pines" Opportunity Quilt Update: Congratulations to Gail Brown, the winner of our Opportunity Quilt!
Each year the Rogue Valley Piecemakers creates an Opportunity Quilt and offers an "Opportunity" to win it by raffle.
The pattern for this year’s quilt, by Patti’s Patchwork, was a hit with our Opportunity Quilt Committee because it reminded us so much of the place we live, the beautiful Pacific Northwest, and specifically the Rogue Valley. We know this quilt will look great on your bed, a guest bed, or even in your summer cabin.
The quilt was pieced by our members Lannie Harkins, Ellie Hernandez, and Carol Dickson. It was custom longarm quilted by Carol Dickson. This beauty measures approximately 88 x 110.
Tickets are available from members of our organization and at several different public events throughout the year. Sharon Garland is again our “Quilt Mom” and organizes the selling of the tickets at various venues. Tickets are on sale $1 each, 6 for $5, or 30 for $20. The drawing will be held May 11th, 2024 at our Rogue Valley Piecemakers Annual Quilt Show at the Josphine County Fairgrounds!
Proceeds from our 2024 Opportunity Quilt will be divided equally between Josephine County Search and Rescue & Rogue Valley Humane Society. Josephine County Search and Rescue volunteers avail themselves 24/7, with little or no cost to Josephine County, to assist the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office in conducting professional searches for missing individuals. Rogue Valley Humane Society provides compassionate care for stray, unwanted, displaced, and abandoned animals and works toward ending pet overpopulation so that there will be no more homeless pets. They do not receive taxpayer funding.
Thank you for helping us support other non-profits in our community. Good luck!!!!
